More detailed information about the snowpack: 

No evidence of snowpack instability was observed in this area today. Snowpit tests and ski cuts revealed no evidence of instability in either wind protected or wind loaded areas.

Photo 1: (E ridge Silver Pk, S aspect at 7,800') An example of the minor, inconsequential areas of wind loading that were prevalent in this area.

Photo 2: Despite the light NE winds, 5mm surface hoar on top of wind scoured rain crust existed along the ridgetop and through avalanche start zones on N and NE aspects.
