I released a thin slab (1-4" thick) while skiing. I was carried about 50' but was able to get out of the slide laterally. The slide ran for about 1000'. The deposition pile was sparse and scattered. There was not enough snow moving for a burial, but the force of the slide was powerful enough to carry me.
