More detailed information about the avalanche: 

Observed many 2-3 day old avalanches in the Desolaltion Wilderness area. Elevation range was anywhere from 8,000 to 6,500 feet. Aspect where old avalanches were observed were ENE through S. Everything seemed to be point release, loose wet avalanches, with wide fanning deposition zones, although not all the start zones could be observed. Sizes were R1-3 D1-2.
