More detailed information about the avalanche:

In extending the skin track out on the ridge we observed the shooting cracks on the wind loaded portion of the upper slope. In looking down the slope we could see avy debris running past the tree line into the steeper roll over. We could not see past this point. In moving up the ridge to steeper terrain we could see more movement on a very steep 50 degree face rolling into a gully. The upper 500 feet of the slopes are very windloaded. No other activity was noted.
