Snowpit Observations
More detailed information about the snowpack:

Hasty pit and compression tests performed on N-facing, 30 degrees slope at 8776 feet indicate significant consolidation and strengthening in the 70cm slab sitting above 12/15 raincrust and facets. This led to repeatable CTM results with Q1 failures on the facet layer. Over the past few days we have watched the storm snow strengthen into a slab in this zone, and have increasing concern about possible large propagation if a slide were to be triggered on the weak facet layer. Conservative terrain selection essential.
