More detailed information about the snowpack:

Cold unconsolidated snow still exists in protected areas below treeline.  Near and above treeline there is new snow on top of wind scoured and wind effected snow surfaces.  Previous storm snow from yesterday is around 1-2''.  Snowpack tests showed no signs of unstable snow.  West winds were in the light range and no snow transport was observed.  Windward slopes near the summit area had a firm crust with 2'' of new snow on top.
