Snowpit Observations
More detailed information about the snowpack: 

Significant melt occurring on northerly aspects in this area below 8,000' with wet snow full HS. Above 8,000', minor surface melt was observed with an otherwise well consolidated snowpack 12 to 18 inches deep. Large area of bare ground exist on all but N aspects in this area. No signs of instability observed while on tour in this area.
