More detailed information about the snowpack:

2 to 3 inches of wet snow existed above a ski supportable crust until about 1 pm today at elevations below 7500 ft. This wet snow was the recent storm snow and the supportable crust was the old snow surface from before the recent storm. The wet surface snow was still sticky had not fully transitioned to corn snow yet. Stepping off of my skis resulted in stepping into wet snow up to my boot tops at 12:15 pm.  Ski cuts on steep E and SE facing aspects resulted in the top 2 to 3 inches of new wet snow sluffing off the old snow surfaces.
