More detailed information about the snowpack: 

This morning we felt the lack of refreeze on S. Maggies Peak. Skinning up at 8:30, treed areas were unsuportable and we were sinking up to mid boot with skis on, more open areas were slighly more supportable but with a strong stomp it was possible to break through the crust and penetrate up to mid boot again. Sking above treeline at 10:00 was still pretty good, with snow remaining a little wet but mostly suportable above 7,400'. By noon everything was wet, with boot penetration being above boot top.
