More detailed information about the snowpack:

Nice coating of new snow skied well and showed little signs of instability in the area we skied today. The sun popped out in the afternoon and very quickly began to heat up the surface snow. Shady aspects remained cold and unconsolidated all day.

Photo #1- Hand shear near summit of Poulsen peak in an obviously loaded area produced no signs of slab weaknesses.

Photo #2- Minor wind loading near summit of peak. Agressing kicks and ski cuts on this and similar slopes produced no cracking or other signs of instability.
