More detailed information about the snowpack:

An additional 1-2' of storm snow overnight and into this morning.  Snowing up to 2''/hour + through the morning hours until slowing down by 11am.  Winds were light to moderate and increased midday up to strong and were moving high amounts of snow.  Total HST=140cm at 8261'.  Hand pits and some other informal observations showed some weakness within the new storm snow.  A snowpit above the bench at 8261' with multiple snowpack tests did not show that propagation was likely.  Wind slab development and snow transport prevented us from the higher elevations of the peak.
