More detailed information about the snowpack: 

Snowpack on SE-S-SW aspects in this area continues to diminish, just as in other areas. Photo taken of the Mt. Houghton SE-S aspects shows remaining snowcover between 9,400' and 10,400'. Wet surface snow was noted as early as 10 am in sun exposed wind protected areas. By 11:30 am, sun exposed wind protected areas between 9,400' and 10,400' held 2 to 6 cm of surface wet snow. Areas exposed to both wind and sun remained frozen at this same time, despite an air temp on the summit of +3.5 deg C (38 deg F).
