Snowpit Observations
More detailed information about the snowpack:

The snowpack in this area appears in good condition to handle loading from new snow and rain. Old near crust facet layers are in a rounding state. Snowpit tests indicate that propagation is unlikely to occur along these relative weak layers when the layers are collapsed.

Surface wet snow was noted up to 1 inch deep in many sun exposed areas by 11 am. As expected, areas with wind protection held the greatest amounts of surface wet snow. No evidence of instability observed.

Pit dug at 10:55am was at the lat/long attached to this observation.
