Snowpit Observations
More detailed information about the snowpack:

Pic 1: Elephant's Back as seen from Meiss parking; clear E/NE wind redistribution. Strong winds did not produce regular/even redistribution - instead 15-20cm of wind slab observed over irregular and small inconsequential pockets.

Pic 2: Old crust surface buried on Christmas Eve 12/24 has rough surface due to rain. Hand shears on several wind loaded aspects showed planar results within wind loaded snow but above crust interface. Ski cuts on wind loaded SW features did not produce propagating fractures.

Pic 3: Possible future concern. Previously wet, consolidated grains just below crust are now poorly bonded, angular and weak.
