More detailed information about the weather:

El 8975, east facing, 39 degree slope, below ridge line.  Three tests performed. First, CT w/ 3 failures, 5 taps@26cm down from the top, 26 taps @60cm down, 28 taps@79cm down. Second, CT with 3 failures, 4@27cm, 13@54cm, 21@84cm. Third, ECT with 1 failure, 15@27cm, no propagation.  Breaks were planar in nature, but somewhat resistant. Pit wall test depth was 175cm.  Snow was soft on top, with a slight increase in density between the first and second failures in the CTs.  A 2.75cm ice crust existed at 80cm down from the top, +/- 5cm.  Snow was firm and consolidated below that layer, until 165cm, where a 2.25cm soft granulated layer existed.
