Description of Snow, Weather, and Avalanche Conditions:

6-10 inches of new low density snow existed in this area. Test slopes were sensitive to ski cuts, D1 and smaller loose dry avalanches were triggered. Snowfall rates of 2 inches per hour were observered , accompanied by strong S-SW winds. Did not go above tree line in this area.
