Description of Snow, Weather, and Avalanche Conditions:

While on holiday from LTCC we toured up to Red Lake Peak in the morning. The snow was cold and soft from the road alway up to the NE shoulder above Crater Lake where there was some wind loading and some surface scouring, photos 1 and 2. In the NE bowl above Crater Lake the snow was almost knee deep powder and made for great skiing. In picture 3 you can see the Loose Dry Avalanche below our entry line into the bowl.
