More detailed information about the avalanche:

Storm slab crowns between 10" and 18" running on transition storm snow bed surface (graupel layer). All were skier triggered purposely. Last slide took skier on a 100' ride. Attributed to bad line too low in gully. Skier worked himself to side of slide in gully and was able to self-extricate. Due to nature of terrain debris was not trapped anywhere and remained thin. These aspects will grow more dangerous today as snow continues to load posing the hazard of large destructive slides.
