More detailed information about the snowpack:

70-80cm of settled storm snow in the Verdi Range above 7000' bringing total snow depths to 140-170cm in this area.  Good riding conditions above 7000' in protected areas, exposed terrain has some sort of wind effect from firm windboard to a variety of wind crusts.  Terrain below 7k or with a solar aspect were bare ground or close before our last large storm system making conditions down low rough for skiing.  No signs of any instability today and no signs of any avalanche activity in this area from the large storm.  The old snow surface was a firm crust that could be felt easily with a probe, the faceted layer below the crust was present but didn't feel very loose.
