More detailed information about the snowpack: 

Signs of good overnight freeze from 6800ft to 9200ft on S SW aspects, including in the trees.

Afternoon melt on SW aspects limited to top 5 to 10cm of snow, even after 1pm.

Pic: Shaded aspects at and above treeline holding 5cm of NSF beneath a very thin crust. Grains only partly angulated, but poor bonding between grains. Steeper N NE aspects of Ralston too firm for safe observations.

Light W winds remained moderately cool above treeline.
