Snowpit Observations
More detailed information about the snowpack:

Minor amounts of blowing snow were noted at treeline on Elephant's Hump with small plumes visible above treeline on surrounding peaks. Informal observations in wind loaded areas with wind slabs from 24-48 hrs previous did not reveal any obvious signs of instability. Wind slabs were mostly 2 to 4 inches thick, occasionally up to 6 inches thick. Surface sun/melt-freeze crust that formed last night was breakable in most areas and supportable in a few areas. Breakable crust was found on N aspects in more areas than not.
