The last avalanche forecast for this season will be published on April 18. Thank you to all who have supported this avalanche center through volunteer hours, snowpack/avalanche observations, and financial contributions.
The SAC Daily Flow
The SAC Daily Flow is an avalanche risk management process developed for motorized users. It was created by aligning the techniques already in use by savvy snowmobilers with best practices in avalanche risk management.
This user guide is not intended as a substitute for a formal avalanche education. Click on the following links to learn more about each step in the Daily Flow process:
- Consider Your Partners
- Anticipate Conditions (under construction)
- Create Safety Margins
- Confirm Details
- Stop to Talk
- Manage Your Group
- Maintain Awareness
- Submit Observations
The Daily Flow is printed on stickers available for free from SAC. These can be put onto machines near the handlebars, so the process is always visible and easy to reference:
The Daily Flow was funded through a grant by the State of Nevada Commission on Off-Highway Vehicles:
