Description of Snow, Weather, and Avalanche Conditions:

Mostly unsucessful corn harvest on Red Lake Peak today. South and south east facing slopes showed signs of multiple melt freeze processes and held efficient climbing conditions, but the cloudier and windier than anticipated conditions prevented the surface snow from softening by noon today. From the summit down to about 8400 feet the snow remained firm. Below 8400 feet due south facing slopes had some softening.

SW winds were consistently strong with gusts that pushed me around if I wasn't ready.
