Day after rain/snow on Jake's Peak South aspect

Snow conditions:

Rain on snow yesterday has resulted in a frozen surface layer that warmed on South-facing sun exposed slopes to a spring corn consistency a little after noon. Snow levels are low with a lot of exposed terrain/bushes etc. and uneven snow distribution across nearby slopes with slightly different aspects.

Weak Layers:

Two faceted layers present at about 20cm below surface and near bottom of snowpack respectively.

Stability:

Compression test resulted in failure of upper layer after 8 elbow taps with an uneven break. ECT test revealed failure without propagation to the rest of the column at 7 elbow taps.
