Snowpit Observations
More detailed information about the snowpack:

On our New Years day tour today, we found extensive evidence of wind, from both the E/ NE, and the W/SW. Heavy riming was present near and above treeline on SW-W-NW terrain, and scouring was present on all elevations and aspects in all but the most sheltered terrain. Dense trees, near and below treeline on most aspects provided the best skiing. We found no evidence of instability today or yesterday in the Castle/ Basin zone.
