While skinning, a skier triggerred a low consequence, harmless, "D1" wind slab avaanche, on an approxiamtely 35 degrees north to northwest facing (~340 °) terrain micro feature, adjacent to skin track. Approximate 12 inch avalanche crown, approximately 10 feet wide, approximately 10 foot runout. At or near treeline, wind exposed. Avalanche stopped on ~ 20 degrees slope that was ~ 10 feet below trigger point.
