More detailed information about the avalanche:

A group of 5 skinned up from the end of Jennifer st. to about 9000' just a quater mile due south of Rose Knob Peak. On our decent I switched from a southeast aspect over the ridge to a southwest aspect. Soon after switching to that side of the ridge and passing over the convex rollover the slab broke free about 5 feet above me. I was about 10 feet from the edge of the slide and managed to work my way over to the edge and out of the avalanache.  I would esitmate I slide a 1/10 of the way down the entire avalanche path. Only 1 person in the group was caught in the avalanche and escaped without injury.
