Snowpit Observations
More detailed information about the snowpack:

Variable snow conditions on Incline Peak. Sun exposed south facing slopes were soft by 10am. Many rocks and trees are showing through at lower elevations on sunny aspects. On north facing slopes above 8800 feet soft near surface facets were present on top of a relatively deep snow pack. NSFs were approximately 4 cms deep in open areas below treeline. Pits dug about a meter deep showed a fairly "right side up" snow pack. Compression tests did not reveal signs of instability.

Photo 1: Loose wet activity after a ski cut on a south facing test slope at 10am.

Photo 2: North facing slopes around 9000 feet were "right side up" down a meter.

Photo 3: Almost 170 cms of snow at 9000 feet on north facing slopes.

Photo 4: South east face of Incline Peak. Snow no longer connects top to bottom on this aspect.
