Description of Snow, Weather, and Avalanche Conditions:

Isolated pockets of reactive windslab observed today well below tree line in “typically wind protected” areas. Very thin 3-5 cm thick “windskins” overlying a lower density snow resulted in shooting cracks. Easy initiation due to thin nature of slab.
