Wind Effect Rubicon Peak

My partner and I toured around Rubicon Peak today looking for some unconsolidated cold snow. We observed frequent cracking of the snow surface on our ascent of the skin track. There was a lot of evidence of wind transport near the summit both scouring and pillows of blown snow. The picture attached is from an easterly aspect well below the ridgeline of Rubicon and is the largest crack we observed on our tour. Overall there were fairly firm conditions for skiing but we were able to find a few pockets of good snow in more wind sheltered areas.
