Description of Snow, Weather, and Avalanche Conditions:

We dug a 3 foot deep snow pit at approximately 8200 feet on a NE facing slope. We performed an Extended Column Test and got no propagation. There was a notable, firm layer at 30cm depth from surface that broke when we added the force of a human's ski boot to the column.
