Description of Snow, Weather, and Avalanche Conditions:

Skied the S side of Jakes this morning. The ascent was very firm, but a small hole in the clouds slightly improved the decent. Near the top, we wrapped left to some north and west facing terrain and found widespread small surface hoar. It was fairly small, but present over nearly all non-south aspects around this sub peak. There were some rimey needles mixed in as well, seen in 2nd photo.
