Warm and sunny at Red Lake Peak

Many recent dry loose avalanches were observed on nearby peaks (pic 1). New snow along the ascent north of the sno-park was deeper than expected, from 4-10" above the crust that was buried last night. We stopped on a NE aspect at 8800ft and had 2x ECTs propagate below the crust. Then again on an E aspect at 9600ft, we had 2x the same results on the same layer (video). On warmer slopes, snow at this same depth was moist and didn't have a weak layer. At neither ECT location were there weak grains above or below the next deeper crust down (the weak layer from many recent avalanches). Along the summit of Red Lake Peak, rimed sastrugi indicated east winds.
