Description of Snow, Weather, and Avalanche Conditions:

We had 5 or 6 lightning strikes with immediate cracks of thunder directly over our heads. 2 of the strikes we watched the bolt hit the ground, they were not distant rumbles, estimating within a quarter to a half mile from us. When we parked the car it was sunny, the storm built over our heads in 20 minutes or less.
