Climbed Waterhouse by the NE ridge to the false summit knob at 8900' and dug pits on two different aspects, N and ENE. In the north-facing pit, we found a 16cm wind deposit below 36 cm new snow, and observed a sudden collapse and propagation in the facets below the Jan 4 rain crust. We found similar results in the ENE pit, along with sudden planar failure with a deep tap test on the Dec 13 rain crust 85cm below the surface.
