Wind slabs and variable weather in the Relay Peak area

Unpredictable March weather was in full effect in the Relay area today.  The morning hours saw strong E winds with plenty of snow availble for transport.  Wind slab develpoment was obvious and reactive along Relay Ridge.  The Bronco area experienced mild scourning from E winds and the upper 1/3 of slopes had been wind affected.  Midday brought broken clouds and periods of warm March sunshine.  Around 1500 there were irratic graupel showers and then light snow flurries around 1600.  N slopes were still holding cold snow at the end of the day and aspects straying very far from N were developing crusts.
