Stable snow on S/SW aspect of Tamarack Peak

Toured from Mt Rose Highway up along the South/Southwest facing aspect of Tamarack Peak. Started at 10:00 at around 8,500 feet. Moderate winds and cloudy conditions were present during my whole tour, with strong gusts and very limited visibility. On the way up I was consistently in the treeline, keeping me protected from the wind. Not until I reached about 9,200 feet where there was less tree coverage did I start to notice more wind transportation and signs of wind loaded snow along with small pockets of wind-scoured areas. I did not dig a pit but did probe multiple times on the way up. Snow levels varied from 70 cm to 110 cm where I got measurements. I did not experience any signs of instability, even on slopes that were greater than 30 degrees. Skied back the way I came up with great conditions.
