Natural Cornice Fall Avalanche on Andesite Peak

Toured in the Andesite Peak Area and on our way back to the trailhead noticed that a cornice had triggered a slab avalanche on a east facing aspect at about 8000 feet just below the peak.  Did not see any evidence of the avalanche while touring up so it is likely that the avalanche happened around midday. Slope was wind loaded and appeared to be a natural cornice fall that triggered a slab avalance. Crown looked to be just over a foot and about 15 feet wide. Debris of the avalanche did not flow far. Visibility for the day was obscured so we were unable to notice if any other avalance activity occured in the area.
