Warm with thin, high clouds at Red Lake Peak

A warm day with thin, high clouds and moderate SW winds at Red Lake Peak today. There did appear to be some "greenhousing" effect today, though it was in balance with the winds and we didn't see significant surface wetting on slopes overlooking HWY 88. Old surface textures are beginning to show through the shallow snow from last week on sunny slopes, and even on steep shady slopes, that snow has become moist/wet. 

Pic 1: They're back (mini penitentes on sunny aspects).

Pic 2: A fairly steep, shaded slope with a few inches of last week's snow becoming wet and producing roller balls.

Pic 3: Thin, high clouds over Round Top and The Sisters. Winds balanced this out a bit, and prevented significant surface wetting.
