Description of Snow, Weather, and Avalanche Conditions:

Took a ride up to Mount Rose Meadows to check out the new snow accumulation totals during this break in the storms. Yesterday, 11/6, I was able to ride my bike to the top of mount rose summit and only observed trace amounts of snow in very protected aspects. This morning there was on average 15cm of new snowfall across the meadows with depths reaching 40cm in wind affected pockets. This top layer of new snow is unconsolidated snow with four-finger (4F) hardness with grains ranging from .7 to 1mm in size.

Boot pen- 15cm , Air temperature: -8 C , Surface snow temp: -10 C , Temp down 15cm: -4 C

Drifts up to 40 cm in the meadows

Evidence of wind transporting snow

Old snow (0-5cm) below new snow (5-20cm)
