Description of Snow, Weather, and Avalanche Conditions:

We toured incline peak yesterday and dug a pit to do an extended column test. It was reactive on ECT 27 and created a large slab 55 cm thick. The slab was not on a rain or sun crust, but on snow that did not bond properly.

On our second lap, we noticed that part of a large cornice collapsed naturally, which was intact on our first lap. Due to the low visibility and flat lighting, it was hard to determine the size of the debris field.
