Some debris on the uphill side of trees (see photo) indicated that at least two avalanches occurred on steep, wind-loaded, NE facing slopes on Silver Peak. The crowns had filled in with new snow since the slope slid. Our best estimate is that these slides occurred late Saturday night or early Sunday morning and were wind slabs. Bed surface and weak layer are unknown.
