More detailed information about the avalanche:

Widespread natural avalanche activity from the 3/16-3/17 avalanche cycle in the Deep Creek, Pole Creek drainages and up to the Sierra Crest.

All on NW-NE aspects at all elevations in 35-40+ degree terrain.  After a week or so of these avalanches occuring they are still pretty impressive in size and amount of debris piles.  Significant settlement and melting of the crown lines and debris.  The avalanches in Deep Creek all failed on the January facet/crust combo.

Photo#1:  N aspect, 7250', 35-40 degree slope.  100' wide x 400' long.  Crown 1-4'.  This avalanche took out what has become the normal skintrack route.

Photo#2: Debris piles up to 8' deep.

Photo#3: 1 gully over looking down avalanche path, up to 5' crown, 500' wide by 600' long.

Photo#4: Shoulder of Silver Peak.

Photo#5: 2 slides off of Crest

Photo#6 2 slides off of Gold Peak
