More detailed information about the avalanche: 

This crown appeared to be from an avalanche that ran before the snow on 1/16. There were no observered ski tracks in the vicinity. There was a similar crown higher on the same NE ridge of Powderbowl. We were on the opposite ridge and the flat light made detailed observations difficult.
