The temperature had been rising along with the direct sunlight, so its snow was getting warm by the time this trigger occurred. 1 in front of me (the trigger man), and 3 behind me. This was our only avalanche event of the day, and despite seeing many recent pinpoint releases this was our only encounter with a slab release.
