More detailed information about the snowpack: 

Test pit dug to evaluate existing snowpack prior to anticipated 25 to 40cm of new snow in the next 18 hours. PST 100/100 (end) down 106cm on 20100330. Graupel noted as trace amount of new precip while making snowpit observations. Widespread stiff and punchy wind affected snow surface conditions near and below treeline on all N-NE-E-SE aspects traveled. Some wind transport of old snow during wind gusts, but no evidence of new slab formation in lee areas.
