Snowpit Observations
More detailed information about the snowpack:

Some clearing occuring in the mid afternoon with light to moderate SW winds.  The last storm produced around 1.5 feet of heavy new snow with lots of wind.  Stability tests showed clean shears close to the old snow/new snow interface and also in the upper new snow where a firmer wind slab had formed.  This wind slab was 6-8'' deep and was firmer/more dense than the other storm snow creating an upside down upper snowpack.  Ski cuts, cornice drops showed no signs of propagation, no shooting cracks were observed.  Besides the photo there was no other avalanche activity seen.
