More detailed information about the snowpack:

Melt-freeze crust on all aspects up to 8900'. On the northerly aspects this crust was thin and breakable above 8000'. Below 8000' the crust was thicker and more well defined. On the southerly aspects 4-5 inches of wet melt-freeze snow existed by 1pm. The photo shows some minor, small, skier-triggered, wet-snow sluffs involving this surface snow. Below the melt-freeze crust and the wet snow, cold, dry snow existed on all aspects.
