Testpit dug next to flank of skier triggered avalanche that occurred on January 26th. Instabiilty remains on this slope. Able to ski cut slabs into motion above yesterdya's crown. Cracking observed in unaffected areas. Snowpack failure occurring on layer of lower density snow below higher density surface slab.
