More detailed information about the snowpack: 

 ECT NR at Upper Velma Lake/Jannie's backcountry.  North aspect, 37 degree slope.  Several failures at density changes, but no propagation.  Test slope was windloaded and the snowpack as measured as over 300 cm deep (likely due to wind-drift).

 Overcast sky, trace of snow falling.  Temperature was dropping.  Winds were 10-15 mph out of the SW.
